Red sea, literally.

The image above shows the sea, with red coloured water. Yes. Red.

Why is it red?

First and foremost,

Warning: If you have just had something to eat and is easily nauseous, you might want to come back and read this post after you have properly digested your meal.

Back to the issue of red coloured water.

The reason that it's that colour:

Yeah. Those people in the picture, are just some of those involved in the mass killing of the whales. Yes, They do it in bright daylight. They do it in huge groups of people. They do it in front of spectators.

Here's the story behind it. The pictures are taken from Faroe Island. It is a tradition that dates back to the 10th century, where the locals kill and eat all these whales.

Here's what they do every year during the 'grindadrĂ¡p' event (which roughly translates to grind.), the locals crowd all of the whales using their boats into the bay area, and then they kill the whales.

Like the picture above with the men killing the whales using their bare hands and knives.

The meat from the whales are then distributed among the local community.

This tradition apparently also exists in Iceland.

Why is this still allowed in the century that we live in ? Why is this people allowed to go ahead with this 'tradition' of theirs. We supposedly live in a civilized century, not the barbaric century.

Other than the mass killing of whales for a " tradition" , something else that also needs to be highlighted is the killings of whales for research.

Yes. They kill whales to do research on them.

this picture above shows how they throw back the carcass of whales after they have finished doing their research on them.

And this picture is so disturbing in so many ways, there is just no words to describe it.

Everyone should be aware of what is going on in this world. Maybe if all of us join forces we can
make a change. We can stop this inhumane act that is going on.

It has been going on for too long and has to stop. So many people are not even aware of what is going on in other parts of the world. At this rate of mass killing, we might not even know what whales look like in 50 years time. Our future generation might not even know that whales used to exist. How can we let this happen, how can we let this go on?

Animals are so incapable of fighting for their rights that human so easily take advantage of this fact. We should stand up for them. They did nothing to deserve this brutal act of killing. Animals have rights too.
